APR-11 Coding had always been a problem at one of Coke's largest bottlers. Operators had rigged a variety of compressed air solutions, none worked well and all consumed large amounts of power. JetAir proposed and ultimately installed its tested 10HP JET-2T Blower connected to JetAir's innovative JetBlastT Air Components. JetBlastsT are comprised of aerodynamic nozzles arrayed in a line similar to an Air Knife. JetBlastsT are simple to align and can efficiently focus a high mass flow body of air directly at the bottom and/or top of canned products. Focusing of the air efficiently delivers the force of the air exactly where it is needed with little or no wasted air flow. The efficiency is pronounced! JetAir's compact JET-2T Blower and JetBlastT Nozzle Air Components replaced a compressed air system consuming over 30HP. The efficiency savings paid for the system and it enabled this can line to run at full speed for the first time! Coke went onto to update all of their can lines in this facility. And because JET-2sT are direct-drive, there are no belts to change, adjust or stock. Plus there are no installation surprises as all power and control components are included. No High-Speed Centrifugal System today packs the power, efficiency and control capability of JetAir's JET-2T Blower Line. And coupled with innovative air components like the JetBlastT, no other system can dry as effectively. For more information, contact sales@jetairtech.com. MAR-22 "We are pleased to attend this show and to support our growing account base in Europe." States Kevin Beyer, Vice-President of Sales for JetAir Technology. JetAir will be presenting the most efficient high-speed centrifugal blower available. It is ideal for most blow-off and drying applications as well as many applications traditionally performed with compressed air. Contact Kevin Beyer at kevin.beyer@jetairtech.com or sales@jetairtech.com for additional or specific information on how JetAir engineers solutions. MAR-1 JetAir Technologies tests its systems to ensure long lasting performance and to explore functional options. "The entire JetAir Team is excited to see our JET-2T pass this performance milestone and validate its patent pending direct-drive design," says Dan Snyder, VP Development. JAN-14 MAY-10-2004 (Direct-Drive Breakthrough) Ventura, CA - May 10, 2004 - JetAir Technologies, LLC (www.jetairtech.com) announces the launch of its new line of "belt-less", DirectDriveT centrifugal blowers. Centrifugal blowers are used in many and varied blow-off and vacuum applications, including bottling and textile industries.
The direct drive innovation eliminates the need for the belts, pulleys, tensioners, and spindles used by the industry for the last forty years to power centrifugal blowers. The belts and supporting components have long been a source of many industry complaints. Bob Brady, a mechanical engineer who has incorporated centrifugal blowers in many applications over the last twenty years, summarizes, "End users are constantly replacing worn belts and failed spindle bearings, often requiring line shut down." JetAir's patent-pending design reduces the number of components found in competitive belt drive blowers from an average of 40 to 50 to less than 10.
Dan Snyder, VP of Development at JetAir says, "We believe the direct drive blower is the obvious next generation solution to high maintenance and inefficient belt drive systems."
JetAir's direct drive blowers are simple in concept and elegant in design, incorporating technology advancements in motors, bearings, Variable Frequency Drives (VFD), and aero design. The motor shaft is directly coupled to the turbine or impeller with speed controlled by the VFD. Belt drive systems use a constant speed motor with pulleys of various diameters linked to an impeller-spindle assembly by a belt in order to achieve the target speeds.
Snyder continues, "Added advantages of JetAir's design are increasing mechanical and electrical efficiencies while reducing overall system size by about 40%. Eliminating the belt drive transmission combined with an innovative aero design results in huge gains in efficiency. Field test results indicate overall energy savings of up to 40% over belt drive systems due to efficiency increases."
JetAir direct drive blowers are certified UL and CE approved, meaning they meet the stringent standards of the U.S. and European Union for quality, dependability, and safety.
About JetAir Technologies, LLC
JetAir is the brain child of industry veteran Kevin Beyer and the product development team of Dan Snyder and Bill Anderson. Their team spent over two years developing, testing, and refining the concept of the direct drive blower.
